• Kate and Lancome team up for charity

  • Kate Winslet and Lancôme have collaborated on a make-up collection for charity.

The limited edition collection is Lancôme’s 2011 after-dark winter range. The collection features the basic party staples, blusher, lipstick and nail polish.
Proceeds from the collection will go towards Kate’s non-profit charity The Golden Hat Foundation. The Foundation was established by Kate after she narrated Icelandic documentary, A Mother's Courage: Talking Back to Autism (aka The Sunshine Boy).

The British actress was so moved by the tale of a mother struggling to help her autistic child that she was inspired to make a change herself. The foundation aims to help autistic children communicate more clearly and offer them education and job training which is adapted to their disability.

Cosmetic giant Lancôme have offered to donate 150,000 euros from their sales profits to the foundation.
Kate was deeply moved by their participation in the project.
'Lancôme's instant offer of support was a huge display of confidence and generosity,' she told British newspaper The Telegraph. 'I knew it would open many doors.'

Each piece of the collection is embossed with the golden hat symbol and Kate’s signature.
The collection is on sale from now until December.
